Parlay Pick Of The Day
Here we are!
This is what the season has come down to.
One of the Chiefs or the Eagles will fly home from Arizona laden down with rather large rings and a lot of glory.
Throughout the regular season, I have consistently made one parlay selection a week. Regular readers will be aware of two notable aspects of my picks.
Firstly, they all had the same structure.
I choose a moneyline underdog, one over, one under, and a couple of spread bets.
Secondly, bettors would have done well to do the opposite of what I chose when it came to spreads and totals. I was wrong more often than I was right!
However, when it was about my going against the favorite it was a very different story.
I went 16-4 over the 20 weekends of NFL fun since Week 1 kicked off back in early September.
I’ve set the bar rather high for next season!
Anyways, now that we are down to just the one game or spectacle on Sunday 12th February, the format of my weekly parlay will have to change.
I shall now take the plunge with a Same Game Parlay. These types of bets are becoming increasingly popular amongst US bettors and you can see why.
There is an added dimension to the game, as you wish for different events to unfold.
As the Super Bowl is such a unique event, and we know that sometimes it doesn’t go according to plan, I shall go off-script as well.
In addition to laying out the rationale behind my parlay, I shall also flag an SGP from a different source.
At BestOdds, we are always happy to big up brands that we like or respect.
In past weeks, you will have noted my appreciation for the likes of Morning Blitz, Read the Line, and Huddle Up newsletters.
Well, today it is the turn of the talented team at BetPrep to be put up in lights.
BetPrep is a subscription service offering a vast array of useful tools for bettors.
They also have some clever pieces of kit that bring some very insightful trends and streaks data to their customers’ attention.
They identify edges for bettors. The site relays them in a simple and clear manner
So this week, I am going to select one of their Same Game Parlays to go up against my own parlay selections. Will one or both of our parlays land? Or, will it be a case of close, but no cigar?!
BetPrep has identified the following for a value SGP. They have noted that BetMGM is currently the sportsbook with the BestOdds.
Remember that when you are placing a parlay, the returns can fluctuate much more dramatically than on a single bet.
The compounding effect of a parlay makes odds shopping all the more important.
Anyways, enough of the lecturing.
Super Bowl Parlay Bets List
Let’s see one of Betprep’s idea:
Leg 1 – Game Total at 50.5 – Over
Leg 2 – Jalen Hurts U 250.5 Passing Yards
Leg 3 – H1 Game Total O 24.5 Points
Leg 4 – Miles Sanders O 54.5 Rushing Yards
The BestOdds at this moment for this parlay is a shade over +1200 with BetMGM sportsbook.
Well, the data team at BetPrep has identified what they deem to be a value play.
They will be praying for the Eagles’ excellent offensive line to dominate proceedings and juggernaut their way into the end zones via the rush.
BestOdd’s Super Bowl Parlay Picks
Now for my selections of a 4-leg same game parlay.
Let me lay out what I think will come to pass. I am envisaging a tighter and lower-scoring game than Vegas is predicting.
The Total has been creeping up to sit north of 50 points now.
I am inclined to go under. I still side with the Eagles to emerge victorious.
As a trend lover for betting, whether on the major 4 sports or on the horses, I am slightly worried that 15 of the last 18 Super Bowl victors have worn white.
Philly will be sporting green on Sunday!
Mahomes must be happy to know that stat.
So the first two legs of my parlay are clear.
Leg 1 – Game Total at 50.5 – Under
Leg 2 – Eagles ML
For the other two legs, I shall target player props. And they will revolve around the player who will soon be crowned MVP.
Sorry Patrick, but it’s your opposite man who will take the mantle of the most valuable player next weekend.
I shall be adding two Jalen Hurts legs to my parlay.
Having rushed for a touchdown at a rate of practically one per game, I think it is written in the stars that on a third and goal from the one Philly’s number 1 sneaks into the endzone.
I also predict that he will show his elusiveness in the pocket regularly and that his ability to scamper from danger will take him north of 50 rushing yards.
That over at 45.5 yards tempts me and will constitute the fourth and final leg of my final parlay of the 2022 NFL Season.
Leg 3 – Jalen Hurts – TD Scorer
Leg 4 – Jalen Hurts – Over 45.5 Rushing Yards
The BestOdds currently on this parlay is with BetMGM sportsbook at just over +1100 Will it be the twenty-first time lucky?!
Time will tell whether I can finally land a successful parlay.
I guess that there is always next season, should the stars not align for the Philadelphia Eagles in Arizona on Sunday 12th January!
